The EPJ school has partnered with the Siouxland YMCA to provide after-school programming for EPJ students. This program will take place at the EPJ school and is set to begin on March 24, contingent upon sufficient interest from families. The weekly cost for the program is $65; however, financial assistance is available for families who may struggle to afford this fee. Initially, the program can accommodate a maximum of 30 students, with plans for growth in the coming years. Additionally, there are two job openings available related to this program. For more information about the program or job opportunities, please contact aschultz@nwsymca.org. Happy National School Counseling Week! This week, we celebrate the incredible work that school counselors do to support students. School counselors are more than just a resource for academic guidance—they play a crucial role in fostering social development and emotional literacy. At EPJ, we’re proud to incorporate the "Move This World" social and emotional learning curriculum, which helps students develop essential skills like self-awareness, empathy, and resilience. To learn more or access resources on the family site, reach out to danielle.schonebaum@k12.sd.us.

Congratulations to Adi and Taylor on an amazing performance at Junior Honor Choir! Both girls were selected for the female SSA group, which consisted of 78 singers from across South Dakota. They went out to Rapid City on January 17th to begin the extensive rehearsal process, which culminated in a concert on January 18th. They sang five songs, including one they had learned without any music! SDACDA Junior Honor Choir is open to students in 7th-9th grade and is an auditioned group.
